In this experience we focus on making the most of the day so that customers can learn about and taste some of the most important beverages and foods in Spanish and Catalan culture.
You can visit sustainable and ecological wineries which most of them have been producing wine for more than 100 years, learn about their history from the hand of the winemaker while you take a tour of the facilities.
Also taste its best wines, accompanied by typical foods of the region, such as Iberian ham or cured cheese.
They can then enjoy a Mediterranean meal in a quality restaurant off the Costa Brava, one of Spain’s most beautiful coastlines of great interest to European travellers due to its natural beauty and climate.
This pack includes:
- Visit to a winery. Includes a guided tour of a winery where you can learn about the winemaking process. In addition, there will be a tasting of 5 high quality wines so you can taste and appreciate their different characteristics.
- National food tasting and extra virgin olive oil. During your visit to the winery, you can also enjoy a tasting of national food, including local and traditional products. An extra virgin olive oil sample is available so you can taste its unique flavor.
- Menu in a restaurant overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. After your winery tour, you’ll be given the chance to enjoy a delicious menu in a restaurant overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. This will let you enjoy dishes from the region while enjoying an impressive environment.
- Walk along the Costa Brava. As part of the experience, you can enjoy a walk along the Costa Brava, a beautiful coastal area in the province of Gerona, known for its stunning landscapes and beaches. You can admire the natural beauty of the region and enjoy relaxing moments by the sea.
- Translator for all day. To make sure there are no communication barriers, you will have a translator available all day. This will facilitate interaction with the winery staff and anyone else you meet during the experience.
- Sommelier. During your visit to the winery and wine tasting, you will be attended by an expert sommelier. The sommelier will guide you through the tasting, providing information about the wines, their characteristics and suitable pairings.
- AVE train transport from Barcelona to Figueras (50 min). Transportation from Barcelona to Figueras will be made by high-speed train (AVE). This trip takes approximately 50 minutes, allowing you to enjoy a comfortable and fast journey to your destination.
- Premium one-way transport to/from Figueres AVE Station (Gerona). In addition to transport by train from Barcelona, there is also a premium transport to and from Figueres AVE Station (Gerona). This ensures that you have a hassle-free and comfortable transfer from the station to the places visited and returning.
- OPTIONAL: Private transport to and from the hotel to the AVE train station in Barcelona. To enjoy the private transport you must let us know by wechat or email. There is a surcharge of 8€ per passenger.
- Children under the age of 18 can also enjoy each of the activities but without tasting alcoholic beverages. They will be replaced by natural non-alcoholic drinks typical of the country.
